Explore the unexpected history of traditional music of British Columbia with songwriter Sarah Jane Scouten and folk singer/ethnographer Jeremy Pahl (Salt Water Hank). We'll be looking at indigenous music as well as settler's music, examining their intersections, impacts and shared history from the perspective of two dedicated folk-music practitioners. This workshop is part of Sarah Jane Scouten's Song Craft Workshop Series, offered twice a month online from her home in southwest Scotland. She explores themes, techniques and concepts in the practice and appreciation of songwriting.
