Cultural Confluence
The final night of Coldsnap 2024 brings a cultural crossover. Oktopus is primarily devoted to klezmer and offers elements of the classical Quebecois repertoire with some jazz and Balkan accents. Abel Maxwell integrates inspirational lyrics with a carpet of Afrobeats.
Late Night Psych

For our first ever Coldsnap late show, we head to the hub of the PG music scene for a nightcap. Billie Zizi will get us in the groove with a groundswell of wild sonic abandon and textural guitar adventures, we’ll ride that wave with the Reviberators, finally crashing into a mountain of rockin’ psych/folk with Folky Strum Strum. You won’t want to miss this one.

Dance Dance Dance
TGIF! You won’t want to miss this evening of music that makes you want to move. Party Jacket is one part sequins, one part satin leopard print and three parts well - worn denim that is mixed well and goes down easy. They are followed by Empanadas Ilegales, who delight with the Psychedelic Cumbia & Salsa sound, transporting all to a world of contagious and groovy vibes.

Sensational Singers
Prepare to be moved! The night begins with Holidays in Canada and their sweet Americana-inspired folk songs and dreamy harmonies. Wyatt C Louis’ effortless vocals walk the line between genres like an easy path rather than a tightrope. Multi-instrumentalist Abigail Lapell’s haunting and gorgeous voice will soar in Knox Performance Centre.

Let’s get loud! Quesnel’s No Big D launches the evening with their post-punk indie rock sound with Kimberley MacGregor weaving her own brand of blues, folk and rock - always sizzling with soul.

Embrace the Winter Blues
What better way to chase the winter blahs than with these two BC born and world-seasoned performers. Saltwater Hank wears his soul on his songwriting sleeve and has taken his music in new directions with his latest work. Ndidi O has a sound all her own combining jazz, blues, gospel and country.
Rural Roots
From Fort Fraser BC to Wood Mountain Sask, our first night at Knox Performance Centre celebrates the old-timey origins of folk rock. Big Fancy is a familiar face in the Northern BC music scene with a dedication to his craft. Kacy and Clayton are a folk/roots duo of self-described “Cosmic Country” second cousins.
Coldsnap for Kids
Will Stroet of Will’s Jams is a JUNO-nominated musician, nationally recognized educator and former CBC Kids TV star. High-energy rock-blues music in English and French, full of whimsy, wordplay and sing-along choruses, inspiring kids to be active, creative, caring and community-minded.
Go With the Flow
On Saturday, we’ll turn up the volume with trailblazers in the hip-hop world. Mouraine is determined to inspire a revolution with his songwriting and Sinzere’s powerful voice and magnetic presence in the Funk Rap scene will make this a night to remember.
Coldsnap Cabaret
Coldsnap 2024 gets a running start with a kickoff dance party the Knox Performance Centre! The night will feature the next generation of Celtic sound from Inn Echo and the multi-award-winning, toe-tapping fiddling styles of Shane Cook & The Woodchippers.
