Stay up late with Coldsnap’s new late night shows!

December 4, 2023 – Prince George, B.C.

The board and staff of Prince George Folkfest Society are thrilled to announce a new offering for Coldsnap 2024 (February 2 to 10) that will delight music-loving night owls! On the final two evenings of the festival, we will be presenting late night shows at the Prince George Legion in partnership with Mad Loon Productions.

These shows will be presented at the Prince George Legion on February 9th and 10th after the Mainstage performances at Knox Performance Centre. Doors for both late night performances will be at 10:00pm, with the show set to start at 10:30pm.

For our first ever Coldsnap late show on February 9th, we head to the hub of the PG music scene for a nightcap. Billie Zizi will get us in the groove with a groundswell of wild sonic abandon and textural guitar adventures, we’ll ride that wave with the Reviberators, finally crashing into a mountain of rockin’ psych/folk with Folky Strum Strum. You won’t want to miss this one!

On February 10th, join us for a late night wrap party at the legion with some of Northern BC's best. The Coastal Drifters, Rez rockers from Kitselas, will get things warmed up, followed by a high-energy eclectic set from Coldsnap alumn, Elijah Quinn.

Coldsnap is offering a deal for anyone wanting to see two performances per night. You’ll have the option to bundle either Friday, February 9th (Dance Dance Dance at Knox Performance Centre and Late Night Psych at the PG Legion for $45) or Saturday, February 10th (Cultural Confluence at Knox Performance Centre and Coldsnap Wrap Party at the PG Legion for $45). These would make excellent gifts or stocking stuffers for the live music fans on your list!

The festival schedule and lineup of exceptional performers are now available on our website and will be updated as we finalize all the details Please note that artists and venues are subject to change.

Stay tuned for our schedule of free-to-attend, daytime IceJam and Workshop series throughout the week that make Coldsnap one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year.

We are very grateful to be hosted on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. We thank them for their ongoing stewardship of this beautiful land.
