Since performing in Coldsnap 2023 as part of our ‘Sensational Singers’ event, Aysanabee and his album, Watin, continues to be recognized. He performed on the Juno stage after being nominated for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year. Watin is also on the shortlist for the Polaris Music Prize, which will be announced in September. Also on the shortlist are fellow Coldsnap alumni, Dan Mangan (Coldsnap 2008), The Sadies (Coldsnap 2009), and the Snotty Nose Rez Kids (Coldsnap 2020). Aysanabee will be joining Dan Mangan on the Eastern Leg of his upcoming tour.

Prince George Folkfest Society will be presenting a concert at the newly established Knox Performance Centre on October 21st, 2023. This will be our warm-up to Coldsnap event with a festival line-up sneak peek and a full night of music. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@coldsnapfest) for event details.
